Lot has been written about the Monsoon in Kerala, The beauty of it can only be witnessed first hand, if you get wet and have a hot tea. The experience is even better. Be careful not catch some kind of flu. The monsoon or “Off -season” in Kerala tourism industry offers great treats, but traveling and sunshine can get limited. So can trekking and other opportunities.

Check with locals if you are interested. There is a great plus, if you are willing to take risks. Some great tropical feast for the eyes and some cheap tariff at most of the hotels and tourism services.
